I think the scale of your y-axis is wrong for the gross private domestic investment figure. BEA says inventories contributed + .94, and residential investment contributed + .53 to GDP growth, but your y-axis doesn't go above 0, so this doesn't show up.
That's why they pay me the big bucks... fixed.
