You are using the headline number for the bailouts, which I think is inaccurate. The fact is that some unknown portion of the money deployed by the government for bailouts will return to the government. It could be 10%, 80%, 120%... nobody knows right now. I think it's too soon to compare the known costs of the war to the unknown costs of the financial bailouts.
ReplyDeletethey are unknown, but in my opinion (i've been known to be wrong on many occasion), the chance of further bailouts is much higher than the likelihood these costs will be substantially lower than listed...
