Hours Worked per Civilian (per Week)

As requested...

Employment to population ratio (i.e. percent of the population working), multiplied by the number of hours worked per week, equals the second least amount of hours worked (19.32 hours from 19.4 hours in November, but up from 19.27 in October) per population member.

  1. I love this chart and the whole thought process that goes with it. Other than the pain of course.

  2. Since this is about charts with disregard to any other data my comment is that since 1964 in only one ocassion "hours" seemed to have consolidates (early 90's). In all other ocassions, hours bounced strongly after bottomming. Given the odds, it looks like we are on the verge of a powerful expansion of hours worked that may last well beyond what anyone predicts.
